Colonization Still Taking Place!

When you hear about the term "colonization" you definitely start thinking about the weird things which were done to some of our fore-fathers by superior people from other nations. Some nations were ruled by very selfish leaders who only thought about their well-being and nothing else. They exploited the nations which were politically inferior or the ones which had differences among their citizens. Mostly, they pretended to be helping the poor and provide medical attention in order to win the trust of the natives. slowly, they begun to explore the wealth of the nations whereby they could communicate with there home countries to take advantage of the resources.

Most nations easily fell into the traps of the colonial powers since they believed that there were no ill intentions linked to the help they were receiving. Before they could realize that they had been tricked into colonization, it was too late and the only way out of it was through fighting. Though a lot of blood was shed during fighting for freedom, finally there were joyful moments to celebrate being free nations.

However, after independence, those who took over leadership had their own selfish interests which were to make them rich and find good jobs for their friends and family members. This vice has continued until today and it makes me wonder whether colonization came to an end or it was a process of change of colonial powers!

The need to fight for independence was to ensure that people chose the leaders which they trusted to represent them and assist in achieve their set goals. However, after the elected leaders occupy office they forget about the needs of the ordinary citizens and start acquiring wealth. They learn new tactics of fooling the ordinary citizens during campaign rallies in order to hide corruptions scandals. People should be keen when electing their leaders since most of them never seem to care about the suffering which the less fortunate citizens undergo in making efforts to succeed in life.
