Treasure We Seek

According to the moral teachings which were provided by Jesus Christ, we should love our neighbors as much as we love ourselves. Our neighbors can be classified as the needy people who require our help. Therefore, it should be our concern to take care of the homeless and poor people within our country and help them to lead better lives. Jesus Christ told his disciple Peter that whatever good thing is done to any human being it will have been done to him too. Therefore, we should use this moral lesson to get motivated towards helping the homeless people who have no shelter, and even providing food for the hungry. The whole nation should get concerned in enabling those who have poor living standards to improve them through catering for their basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing.
Jesus Christ set a good example of the life that should be emulated by Christians. He asked a boy who had attended His summons to provide the two fish and five pieces of bread he was carrying for food in order to share with the rest of the congregation. After praying for them, He was able to feed the five thousand people who were in the gathering. Therefore, we should be willing to share whatever we have with the needy people within the society. Every citizen within the nation should be willing to provide support to the poor as much as he or she can in order to introduce them to healthier lives. Helping the needy people in our society will have mutual benefits since they will be more productive hence promoting the welfare of the whole nation.
